Well different people, different horses etc. Doesn't make it wrong either way.

My oldie TB & IDxTB are both naked still & will only have rainsheets on when needed atm if they need rugging they will be but it will only be with lightweight rugs of 100grm or less. TB is a total hairy mess already.

My vet complimented me today because im not ruggin or over rugging any of my horses. I was embarrased over TB's hairyness & he said it was lovely to see a fluffy horse, as so many he see's are under a ton of rugs already.

I must add i am a rug addict however im not keen at all on over rugging. My full clipped horse is currently in a 40grm Fal & mega warm.

Have to admit to rugging all mine tonight!

That includes the broodmares and yearling. Will take them off if the day's become warm though. They'll all start living in at night once the weather gets cold so figured I just as well start rugging them with the forecast as it is!

I rugged the woosy arab tonight as its supposed to rain tonight/ tomorrow, he's had a rug on about three times so far.but nothing else gets ruggged at all.

None of mine are rugged either.

They all live out and are currently unclipped. Only rug if it is wet or they're clipped (or I need them clean for a comp!!!)

And nor are the horses at the yard across the valley! I think someone starts it and everyone else follows!!

Mine are'nt rugged...i notice a lot of horses (cobs too!) around my area have been rugged for the last few months!!!

I used to own a TB and she didnt ever get rugged until mid November - she was a real hairy lady each winter lol!!!
