Am I the only weird one that likes mixing feeds?

Ok I've only had a horse a few weeks, but I love making up his feeds

his feed is very straight forward hi-fi and balancer but somehow I love doing it, so am I weird or do others enjoy this job too

No, not weird at all!! I love making my feeds up too!! Would hate to be on full livery where I couldn't!

No not weird at all, i also love making up feeds (wel maybe we are both werid, who knows). I think it comes from going from full livery to keeping them at home, i love the control! Saying that Bodey onl gets Alfa-a oil and veg.

I like it too, making sure the horse gets the right amount of each feedstuff and supplement is sort of satisfying! I usually ask to do it at work, about 20 horses to do morning and night feeds for - plus it keeps me indoors out of the rain!
It's probably the reason my horse has so many supplements at the moment, she only has chaff for her tea so I need *something* to mix with it!

*I must stop feeding my horse so much, I must stop feeding my horse so much...*!

I love getting a massive big scoop of something and plonking it in, I love it as well when you're feeding sugarbeet, I make it quite watery and when it's mixed with cubes it makes a really good mush!!! When it's cold and snowing in winter I make speedibeet with warm water, and the horses love it!! It's all warm and steamy and smells nice!

its my fave job, i am on full 5 day livery but still make all my own feeds, i have 6 buckets so make a few days worth at a time and i also have a little stash of 7 or so plastic sealed lunch bags that have pre-made feeds in for when im in a hurry i can just dump them in the buckets x
