Am i to big for my pony?

Hi, I'm wondering I am 5'5 extremely leggy 7stone, and ride a 13.2hh welsh pony Also I know it's not the best photo. Here's another photo of me riding a 13hh Icelandic horse so yea.

I think a lot of youngsters feel pressure to move onto something huge as teens these days.

Not at all too tall or heavy. You'd just get a different feeling riding bigger equines. I always say to look up photos/videos of William Fox-Pitt on his eventers whenever someone asks this question about height. You'll see what combination can work very well.

Even the saddles are big enough for you , more often the issue than someone being too big for the pony.

Am I the only one wondering how we got to this?
1. A nation of overweight, underworked horses and ponies.
2. A nation of people scared to work these horses and ponies in case they are 'too big'.

If it helps, I'm a bit taller than you at 5'6-5'7, a few stone heavier and ride my 13.3hh native pony for miles at a time & he's more than fine ?

I know it can be hard if your friends or other liveries all have big horses but just ignore them and keep on enjoying him!
