Don't be silly!!! I'm a lot taller than you at 5'10 and weight about 10 1/2 - 11 stone and still ride my 14.2 now and again. I know i'm to big for him even though when I ask people they say i'm not.

QR don't be daft, you look perfectly fine
I'm a bit worried that people have got so paranoid after the recent posts, I think it's only massive riders on teeny tiny fine little ponies that people were getting at.
You certainly aren't massive and your horse certainly isn't a teeny tiny fine little pony

i get so stressy about my weight as i had problem with it when i was younger, and usually am happy with how i am but in light of recent events just seems to have brought it all back again, its reassuring to know al ur views

There is no way you are too big for Abby

If anything, you look on the small side for her. I have seen other photos of you and there is no way you are too fat - you look fit and toned and healthy. Your post just shows how dangerous it is to post about people's weight - alot of us are of an age where we don't care anymore (I am fast approaching 50 and it doesn't bother me in the least that I am no longer slyph-like), but at your age, worrying about your weight can have a disasterous result. You and Abby look great together - and there is absolutely no way you are too heavy for her.

When I opened this post I expectedf to see a rather large person on a small pony........I never expected to see someone sitting on a 16h2". Of course you're not too big!!

Remember that TBs carrying top weight in a race will be carrying well over 11 stone, galloping flat out for 4 miles or more, including ones which are little more than ponies. Also as mentioned before, the minimum weight for endurance is over 12 stone.

the horse can very very easily carry your weight, don't be silly. if you decide to lose some for you own sake that's very different, but don't do it because of all the silliness on here... most of which is aimed at riders of 15 stone or a lot more on small weedy t.b.s and ponies in some cases, as far as i can tell. your mare is a good size and can easily carry you.

I cannot believe you think you are too big!!!!

I'm 5ft & weigh 7st & I rode a 12.2 fairly regularly, so by you're reckoning I am far too big for anything smaller than 14hh!!!
