Ok this has been troubling my pea sized brain for some time now so I am gonna grab the bull by the horns (so to speak) and just ask all you guys what you think.

I am 5'3" (just) and currently weigh about 12.7 (although I am on a diet and hope to eventually get down to 10).

My little ponio is 14.2 (just) and is a medium weight cob.

Am I too big for her really? I worry all the time that I am and that I should not really be riding her. Please let me know what you think as I feel like I am slowly driving myself nuts thinking that I am doing something wrong.

Oh by the way she is not underweight at all and is in really good condition (not sure if that matters).

Now I really sound like a loon dont I?

Thank you so much for your replies :)

You have made my day, honestly it has been really worrying me. I love her so much and would die rather than do anything to hurt her.

Thanks x x

Aww, you've obviously been really worrying about this. Definitely not. I'm 5'8", weigh 11 - 11.5 stone and my pony is a 13.2hh Fell pony who was only backed last week. Enjoy your pony. :)

if shes a solid cobby type and is feeling comfy with you (ie shes not letting you know she dont want you on), then she'll be perfect!!

Bear in mind 12.2 Icelandics are ridden by adults!
Enjoy your ponio!

What are the forums views on having to weigh at least 14 Stone, competing over point to point fences and having to ride thoroughbreds.H&H 1st April Page 11.Perhaps its a joke!
