Am I too big for my pony?

Just sort of a musing. I think this rider looks fine but a little tall - but only because the trend seems to be massive horses that your leg doesn't go past the belly. If you look at old Cowboys or Arabs etc not a one of them have their feet near the horse lol

I think your pony looks to be a really good type and would be very reluctant to sell him , as long as you feel right and his saddle fits both you and him there is no problem with your weight.
You are using Peacock stirrups, which are better for kiddies [I am not sure of the weight limit] if you buy adult ones make sure they are a bit wider. I use swivel ones [footrest is hinged with a spring], and recommend them if you hope to ride for lots of years, they are kinder to knees and are shock absorbing.

You look similar to how I look on my 14hh spindly pony, I think. Im 5'7. I consider myself looking too tall but honestly apart from a 17.2shire horse I rode I look tall on all horses! Ive had my pony 14years she still whizzes around with me no problem. It can be harder to balance on small ponies but if you are used to riding that size it probably comes naturally. Agree with other poster that there's a trend of people wanting to look like pimples on arse cheeks lol which I think looks just as silly if not more so than being lanky on a small pony. Not all ponies are suitable for little kids though

A bit tall but not too heavy.

Tbh the tall thing may only come into play balance wise.

But then, I am the opposite, I am 5 ft 3 and ride huge horses (Buffy is 16.1hh). Ponies jar my back :o
