If you really looked that bad the seller wouldn't have sold you her. Enjoy her for a potter around and then decide. Do not do anything on the spur of the moment.
It’s so sad that you feel like that! Of course you deserve a horse you’ve done nothing wrong.Thank you for your honesty everyone. I bought her a few weeks ago to help me get over a very severe illness and I now feel I made a mistake, perhaps because of my vulnerability. It breaks my heart that I have to sell her but it’s best for her welfare so that’s what needs to be done. I don’t think I deserve a horse right now as I clearly lack judgement.
This! Please just enjoy her, don’t overthink it and let her give you your confidence back.
I echo this!If you really looked that bad the seller wouldn't have sold you her. Enjoy her for a potter around and then decide. Do not do anything on the spur of the moment.
OP said light hacking only. You haven’t really said what activities you planned to with your pony. I think that makes a difference if you are just doing light work or if your plan is to do lots of jumping or faster longer rides.
Tbf, OP asked a question. I'm sure if the question was shall I sell my pony etc...there would have been different answers. For goodness sake I hate these threads. People post before they think. Poor OP.
You will not harm this pony by doing some light hacking work. You are far from heavy. Please enjoy your pony OP xx
Poster asked for honest opinions and got them . No one was unkind. For goodness sake I hate these threads. People post before they think. Poor OP.

I doubt she is too heavy but is too tall and does not fit the saddle either. If she wants to plod around the lanes will probably be fine but for anything else she is too big in my opinion anyway. The question was asked I do not think anyone was overly harsh.
He does not ride 13hh ponies though does he? If the OP is happy and pony is ok then its fine. The Op must have concerns to have asked the question. The question was am I too big for this pony? The answer is yes she is to big but if she and pony are ok then thats all that matters. She will feel underhorsed in any comps but if happy to plod about then ok. Depends what she wants to do and if shes happy.Tell that to William fox Pitt!!!!
yes and if you read my post thats what I said... If pony can carry her ok and shes happy with looking too tall all is fine. However she does look too tall and may feel unbalanced. She will most likely get comments about being too tall but if Op and pony both happy thats what matters. However, the question was am too big for my pony? Quite honestly I think the answer is yes but thats my opinion. Sorry if you do not agree. If you compare the size of WFP to OP on her pony he looks too big as well, will you tell him not to take his horse round Burghley etc, it’s the weight that is more important and if the rider is balanced, and what work they expect the pony to do . The OP s weight is fine and pony isn’t going to be harmed just gentle hacking.. I agree not to do ODE etc but this is not what she wants to do …
