Am I too big?

I know, I know it's been done to death and I am sorry but I am still trying to figure out if I am just too tall for my pony! So any constructive comments welcome

I want to go out hunting with my OH (he will ride my horse). I'm trying to decide if I can ride my friend's 14.3hh connemara/TB cross (quite fine - not a particularly good doer). I'm 5'9 and weigh just over 11st

Thanks, when I am sat on her I feel fine but then I see photo's and think I look huge on her, but then I am very used to sitting on my chunky 14hh cob which may not help - litle'un in the photo's is only just 13.1hh!

You will be fine! I'm dithering about my 148cms connie x arab but only because she just weaned a foal and has had a previous tendon issue. I'd happily put your weight of balanced rider on that sort of horse

I wouldn't say your too big, but borderline, as you look quite tall in the body on her.
But as long as your a balanced rider your be fine.
