Just had a reasonable quote from them but know nothing about them.

anyone know what their claims or exclusions are like

just noticed it is only for £3000 vet fees??? not sure about this as that is soon gone

Yup, I'm insured with them.
I haven't had to make any claims *touch wood* so don't have any first hand experience regarding that but have heard good things.
They have been a pleasure to deal with whenever I have had contact with them tbh, always friendly and helpful, but also knowledgeable.

I am, im in my 2nd year with them. I have no idea what there Exclusions are like yet as i only started claiming for things in Jan this year.

However i can say that upto now ive claimed for 3 seperate things, & they have paid out on every single one. They have paid out around 3k so far & as my horse is now on Gastrogard there's always a claim to put in atm.
One thing i like is when you speak to them they seem to be horsey people so it does make dealing with them easier.

Im dreading renewal though as im sure they will go to town on exclusions.

So far so good am now in the midst of a huge and complex claim.
Previous horse they paid out for PSD surgery then eventually LOU from Navicular.
Exclusions, they lift them, or make them more specific if you vet writes a report on why they should.
They have also been good about paying for specialist shoeing and even watertreadmill treatments so good about "alternative" type things.

Amtrust are great, have just finished a very hefty claim and the vets fees limit is definately £5000 as i have just reached it!

Hi - have to agree with all of the above - my vets fees are £5000 too. I have found them to be excellent. I had to have my mare PTS last year after only about 5 weeks of having her insured with them, but not before we had a HUGE vets bill too. They were kind and supportive in making my decision. They pay out very quickly. Can't recommend them highly enough!!

I'm covered for £5000 vets fees too. Amtrust are excellent, they have paid very quickly on both of my claims (and are continuing to pay on my 2nd claim which is ongoing). I would definitely recommend them and as someone mentioned earlier everyone I have spoken to there seems to be horsey which really helps!
