Today was the first day of our 3 day charity show.

I had my camera with me so decided to take photos of the day.

Could you all have a look at some of the images and let me know what you think?

Good enough to give it a go as a small weekend venture?

Just a note though that the lens I used to enable me to get the close ups is a manual focus lens so every single photos was manually focused by eye (dodgy short sighted eyes!) hense why they arent as crisp as i would like.

These are really good but as someone who buys pics regularly a few tips, try and pick the most impressive jump to photograph eg one with fillers, flowers or water trays and the biggest one on the course! And if possible choose an area in the arena with a nice backdrop eg trees rather than the lorry park or portaloos!! Also with head shots if they are taken on a diagonal they often make the head look nicer and more appealing to buy! Good look with the other events I would deffinatly have a go, talk to some established photographers out there and look at their websites, they are usually more than happy to talk about lenses and give you tips :)

thanks for the tips.
We didnt have any fillers, water trays or flowers at our show today so only boring jumps i'm afraid, i love the size of the clear round jumps though, so cute!

ooooh we are coming to the showing tomorrow....should give you all a giggle as we are vastly under prepared....

I think they look great :)

How's Chico doing, haven't seen his blog updated in a while, I have it bookmarked on my iPod to see how he's doing :D :D

Chico is doing great. I have been really really busy with the show preparation and keep meaning to add an update to the blog. Will pop over and do it now :)

Frumpoon - see you tomorrow - if you want me to take any photos of you then ask at the entries caravan for 'Sarah Chico' (we have 4 sarahs on our yard!) and they will get me :)
