My latest "thing" is interviewing amateur event riders - sort of a 20 question profile on normal riders rather than all the well known professionals.

Questions so far....

1) Name
2) Age
3) Occupation
4) Family - horsey or not?
5) Horses
6) Background
7)Training
8) Routine - how it all fits in
9) Finances - how you balance the books
10) High points
11) Low points
12) Aims for this year
13)Ultimate ambition
14) Compromises/Sacrifices you have to make to compete
15) How it affects family life....
16) Why you do it

So - what do you want to know about people? The more ideas for questions the better and what do you think of the ones so far?

Thank you

Thank you will add that also thought of these...

17) Ever felt like giving up?
18) Who is your groom (!)
19) Lucky mascot/rituals/lucky socks etc
20) Best advice given?
21) Your top tip to others?
22) Eventing/Sporting Idol?

I did the same thing for EHOA a few years back when i was covering the NRF.

Will have a look over my notes and let you know if you like.

How they got their present horses?
Things they would like to see changed in the sport?
Do they feel they are at a disadvantage to pros?
Do they think there should be special amateur classes?
Would they ever consider going full time?
