My Danish Warmblood Erik has got the same great great grandad of the horse Lucky Star who is in the olympics doing dressage. The great great grandad is called ladykiller. Can't believe it as the man who i bought him off of didn't care about him and he was called 'His c**p'. Hope Erik will be as good as Lucky star.

How cool. Well Erik registered name Comfast's, dad is Come Back II and his mum is Athene. I think it is brill that you can look at their sires and dams and see where they have got certain bits from. My mare didn't have any papers so i could never see what her sires and dams where. I think it is so interesting.

Yes it is interesting,I have a mare of unknown breeding,i would love to know where she came from!It is very frustrating and i have tried as i would like to put her in foal next year.Funnily enough if you go back far enough with my big lad and my other reg arab mare they have lots of the same lines!

I know my mums dales mare has the same bloodlines as my DW if you far enough back which is weird considering they are so different. I'm the same it is so frustrating that i can't find out who my mare came from.

Ladykiller was a prolific stallion of his time, you will find him in many of the WB lines. My Bavarian warmblood had him as a grand sire too, I rooted around to find out about his breeding and Ladykiller was by far the most famous stallion in his bloodlines

Its fascinating, my new horse is a full brother to the dam of 'up to date miltoo' belgiums champion showjumper in 2004 who stands at stud, my horse is by Grandeur who won 1.5m showjumping and the german derby 3 times lol!
