Derby House have Kinpurnie Country boots in their outlet- womens- footwear on offer from £199 (which they are worth) to £59.99.
I bought them a while back and they have proven to be my best ever boots and i've been though some!
I originally bought them to try and save my Ariats a bit as i work/live horses and do hammer my boots. I'm lazy and tend to traipse thru mud, muck out ride etc all in the same boots so usually kill them in no time- Not these, my Ariats are redundant!

Sadly not in a size 5 or id be stocking up!

Sizes 4, 9,10 and 11 :( Stock reduction ;) Useful looking yard boots.

I ordered a pair of 7s, but the next day they rang me and said they had way over subscribed size 7 (obviously, cos they are the ones I wanted!!!!) but they are sending me a pair of the shorter ones (which im hoping will be high enough!!) for the same price. Im not too sure about it, cos its not the same at all as the other offer - but figure they are still worth a look....

really hope i love them though - they sound great !! :D

They've got the short ones on for £50 now and the long ones for £65. I've already got suffolks for long ones but really tempted by the short ones as easy pull ons. What's the sizing like? Am normally a 5.5 but take a 5 in suffolks as they big so wondering if should go for 5?
Any thoughts?

Im looking at these boots online and the calf sizing seems small? whats the fitting like please, I like to be able to tuck my jeans in too! thanks

Could anyone tell me how they got on with their Kinpurnie Boots? I just ordered a full length winter pair for myself and a shorter pair as a Christmas present for my Mum. I'm between sizes so ordered a size up, was this the right thing to do? I'm just a bit worried about the quality. I've had the same pair of Ariat Grasmere boots for the past four years and they have just been fantastic. The Kinpurnie boots looked great in the photos online at Derby House and were a really good price. Are they an item which are always on offer (I've noticed Derby House doing this with other items)?

Would be great to hear opinions!

Thanks

Started wearing my short kinpurnies a couple of weeks ago. I am about a 5.5 normally so ordered the 38 and they slightly snug but will be ok. They've taken a while to break in, rubbed a bit of my heel to start with but ok now. Wide enough to tuck jeans in but not too flappy which is nice. The leather is really sturdy, think that's why it took a while for them to mould to my foot.
For the money, £50, am pleased but i don't think i would have ben if i'd paid £100 as they really weren't comfy to start with. Still prefer my Tuffa suffolks for comfort, but the kinpurnies are great for school walk in the wet.
Would recommend you get that spray that you can spray inside to encourage the leather to 'give'.

Hi - dh have the kinpurnie on offer again - not as good as before - how does everyone find them for yard work or dog walking - also how is the sizing - I am just over a 5 but usually go up a size in wellies etc to allow for socks - look forward to hearing from anyone as am keen to place an order before they run out and send away to santa!:)

Defo go a size up. I bought 38 which is usually fine for me but they a little snug and a bit difficult to get on and off. Unfortunately this has led to the tab on the back of the boot pinging off the stud :( .... But Derby House have said i can send them back for replacement so hoping to get bigger ones. Then i think they'll be a great boot. I would describe them as leather wellies ... Defo warmer than wellies!

I ordered two pairs when they had them in offer before - sent them both back because the right boot on both pairs had a massive uncomfortable ridge across the foot- took them forever to refund and when they did they refunded both pairs to one card -I paid for one pair, my mother for the other- luckily I didn't have a problem getting the money back but still think they should have refunded to the cards the boots were paid for on respectively!

I like the look of the Kilpurnie but was put off by the skinny 36cm calf measurement. Just bought a pair of Tuffa Suffolk instead, got them from Tuffa, old style ones for £125. As soon as they arrived I put Co-cho-line on them and went out in the mud. They are great, so warm and comfortable with great grip.

ive just ordered a pair of the long Kilbpurnie St andrew riding boots since i saw they were on offer at £65 yesterday.

does anyone else have these?

im a bit worried about buying long boots online as i have largeish feet (size 8) but slim calves and all the ones ive tried on in shops seem to make the calf sizes bigger to match the foot size and have found them way too baggy.

Derby House make you pay for posting your own returns so bit worried i may find these too wide round the calves and end up returning them but this offer was so good i had to risk it!

you may have just answered my worry over calf size in these boots. I actually ordered them as i noticed the calf measurement seemed a little snug- hopefully not too tight though but have found others long boots in a size 8 too wide round the calf

I have the kinpurnue short boots, if anything they a bit wide on top, more like wellies than riding boots.
Agree re Tuffas, have worn them for about the last - gulp - nearly 20 years. On my third pair, wear them for dog walking, shool run, riding, all the time! Best boots in the world. Where did you get them for £125 though??? Couldn't find for less than £155 this time. My first pair cost £90 :(

I ordered the short Kinpurnie boots as a gift for my Mum for Christmas (she's yet to receive) and they seem nice enough given the price. However, I also ordered the long winter Kinpurnie boots and sent them back because when they arrived the production quality was very poor (bad stitching and finish to the extent that I would class them as faulty). They didn't seem at all worth what I had paid for them.

It really depends what you are after in a boot, I think it is a case of you get what you pay for with these, nothing more, and perhaps a little less. If you do order, I found them a little on the generous size all round.

I also received inconsistent help from Derby House re-refund and despite having spoken to them on the phone twice and sent three email have not received a refund for p&p, which they agreed to. I've shopped with Derby House online for years, usually with great customer service, so was very disappointed in them.
