Amazing! I'm enjoying showing!

These crazy ex-racers, I don't know why anyone takes them on ;)

What an absolute darling he is, he's looking for her in every shot. And she's never going to be scared of riding the big ponies!

That is just great! I've been chuckling out loud here. Hate shows myself, too, but do like to see others enjoy them.

But will she ever be satisfied with a mere Shetland now.....:D

OP you can't be far off me geography wise as I recognise where you were in pics. I'm sure that there are no height restrictions at the two other clubs I show at (both friendly) so if you've got transport why don't you give them a go.

Isn't she just sooo cute and what a lovely boy your horse is.

Many years ago I had an ex-racer and he too was fabulous with small children leading him around the yard - your photos brought back happy memories.

Massive well done this post has put a smile on my face... And your boy looks like a real gent <3

As I would say someone has been bitten by the bug lol

Lovely photos :) what a superstar little girl and gentle "giant" . another post that as put a much needed smile on my face. thank you for sharing.x

How adorable!

How easy was it to enter? My friend's little boy is 7 and loves coming to have a play with the cob... Would love to offer a go at a show, but not sure which classes would be suitable, and whether you could lurk just in case they need a hand in the excitement of the show ground...

Did you practice trotting up etc in company first?

It was just riding club shows and we were able to just enter the young handler classes on the day.

In the first show the little girl's Mum went in the ring with her to start with but was promptly thrown out the ring by her daughter who could "do it on her own"!!

She handles him all the time at the field, holding him for the farrier, trotting him up etc and he's been going to shows long enough to realise that they're pretty dull lol!!
