I'm on such a high!! Took my new boy Hugo for my 2nd lesson. First lesson was spent working on propulsion and getting him to move off the leg. Bit of background to explain why I'm pleased - I bought him as doing nothing but hunting so schooling is a bit of a new thing, he struggles when you change the diagonal trotting!!

Today we introduced some pole work - working him on a circle, basically we ended up with 8 poles, 2 raised and he worked beautifully round them. He was looking and was so careful with his feet.

We then went on to some canter work, was quite hard work getting him to canter. He will strike off on a left lead but won't on the right. Eventually ended up with a lovely comfy canter round the school - leading to mummy with a huge

We then finished off with a couple of pops over a small cross. This was also lovely - was hard work again as he was fairly tired but this point so stumbled a couple of times but all in all I feel we've accomplished so much!!

He was so enthusiastic the whole time today - he has such a wonderful attitude to work.

To make it even better I had my new saddle as well - a falcon hawk event which was so comfy!!

Big choccy biccies and hugs to those reading - just a very chuffed post.
