Recently I decided to stop group lessons and change to privates, however due to the privates being double the price I only ride every fortnight because I feel too bad on my mum! Although I'm not riding as often I still feel that I've improved so much within those 2 lessons than I have in months.
Anyway today my instructor decided to have a lunge lesson and up I poped on her sister;s gelding, Morrisey. We worked on my position so much and it was amazing! I cringe at the thought how far my knees were in the kneeroll or how much my lowerleg moved forward before! I also tackled my rolling of the hips problem a bit, does anybody else have this? I find it had to ride with the horse rather than restricting the movement.
Although I learnt so much today I have now realised I constantly collapse my left shoulder on bends on the left rein for some reason
Sorry this is a random post but I just wanted to tell someone as I'm so happy
I was looking through the very few pictures I have of myself riding and found some of Morrisey and I this exact day last year
I think this was actually the last time I rode him !
My position is awful in this but I just love how he jumps!
