Could you nip along and walk part of the xc course at both places a few days before each event to decide which one to do?

Ha! tbh both are 1.5 hours drive away.. the courses are generally not walkable until 2pm the day before. So I'll probably just go to Aston if we haven't had any rain and if we have, go to Ascott.
