Looking at American Barns, and there are lots of companies out there. Who built yours and what internal stabling do you have? Any recommendations or companies to steer clear of?
We bought our barn from a steel building company, then got a local contractor to put it up and then we have IAE Equestrian stables.....which are absolutely FAB!!!! Go for plastic boards and when you get a quote from them make sure you say 'so and so' are cheaper then you'll get a lower price
However, I'd advice you to get IAE to put them up, putting them up has been an absolute sod and I don't ever want to do it again!!!!!!!
We have block stables by builders. They are made of concrete blocks with a huge aisle, wide enough to tie horses up and get past. They have windows to the outside and a little overhang for aesthetic reaosns but that also keeps their heads dry! We have sliding doors which are good and a little person door in it to get in. Then they have swinging wooden doors.
I love them, it is fab to work in at all times, we have 5 stables and a tack room and it's all good. The only thing I would change would be some bars partially along the back wall, so they could see each other at night, but not full bars.
shufflebottom built the barn and the internal stables are hanncox built about 2 years ago, both companies were brilliant and 2 years later I have no complaints and would not change a thing
