One for the Americans here (or possibly anyone in Scotland as the only UK stud is up that way)
Has anyone come across this breed before? And how have you found them- temperament, abilities etc?

Just asking for curiosities sake really as they're a bit unusual.

From what I can tell of them they look lovely (tho given as it would be a case of importing one or taking one on as a baby I think it's unlikely I'll ever own one, lol)

Were your friends horses cross-breeds, or did she have a curly mare to breed from?
I've met that lad at the equine event some time ago (think he belongs/is on loan to the stud in scotland- or was at the time) Nice horsey, me wants.

Cobgal- it's possible he's no longer up in Scotland, it was a few years ago I saw him and the only details I could find for curly's in the UK were here http://www.worldofhorses.co.uk/horses_usa/breeds/horse_breed_American_Bashkir_Curly_horse.htm
What did she breed with- did the foalies turn out alot like dad, or take more after mum?
Sorry for the million questions, just find them an intriguing breed! Thanks for the webby link, i'm now busy being nosey

Poppy- by all accounts they're good for people with allergies but I've not experienced it first hand obviously!

Lippy- ooh, how much was he? (Not that I would either have enough money or time, but hey ho!)
