Does anyone keep these little horses? Am a new convert and could do with a more experienced view on how much to feed!! Used to feeding a highland but these little guys are on much much smaller rations, obvs :) They do always seem to be hungry though, properly wormed etc and no other issues. I admit I struggle to find such a small amount of hay is enough but have bought little nets and looks appropriate, however, they are both greedy little monleys and Im wondering if they are still hungry or just gannets. Ideas of amounts of hay to feed would be appreciated, a 4 yr old and a yearling.

Sorry only seeing this now.

They are greedy little things and will always seem hungry. I’m more in favour of soaking hay for them. My lot get about a slice each day which some finish and some don’t (the skinnier ones tend to be the ones who don’t finish it!) as for feed, they get a handful of balancer. Grazing is the biggest contention, less is always better and if the field looks totally bare then it’s perfect, otherwise muzzle.
