Amerigo Dressage Saddles

Does anyone have one of these? If so, which type? I am thinking of getting one for my horse.

Hi, I had one - think it was called a vega or something similar? I only had it about six months as although it fitted my horse very well, I didn't really like it to ride in. I should never have bought it really, it was a bit of an impulse buy

I lost a fair bit on it too, think I paid IRO £2K and after six months I think I got £1200. I got an Albion SLK Ultima after it and still have it!! I much prefer it to ride in!

Eeek I am gonna get killed but my trainers hubby is the distributor, he keeps trying to get me to buy one and tbh if I had that kind of money I dont think I would buy one, they just seem way too expensive for me. I keep telling him that until one of my horses goes intermediate or beyond I am happy with what I've got!

I borrowed one off a very, very nice friend! :smug: I loved it. It was a lovely fit and I really liked the deep seat and big knee rolls but I think you have to like that kind of set up to have one. I really don't like flat seats and flat knee rolls so it was heaven for me. But pricy! They are around £1600 new

My horse came with the Vega and it lasted about two weeks before i palmed it off onto someone else. Its the ONLY saddle ive ever had that managed to rub my skin off completly on the tops of my thighs.

Its not like id been out of the saddle for ages or something but the damn thing was hideous. Was like sitting on a rock and as i said, it removed all the skin on my thigh

Managed to get my trainer to sell it on for me and replaced it with a wow

I have one and it is lovely, expensive but well worth the money.

I have 2- the Close Contact dressage and the Alto Pinerolo Dressage- I really really like them - my horses seem to be nice and free in them and they make it easy to keep your position. I must admit I hate riding in anything else! but everyone has different ideas on saddles I suppose!!-

My advice would be to try other makes as well so that you can compare and see what suits you and the horse. The only downside is the price! but they are lovely saddles, and come in loads of different fittings as well, which is useful. Maybe you can test ride some to see if you like them.
