Hi

Does anyone use or have previously used an Amerigo jump saddle and what are you thoughts ?
Ive had a devoucoux and also a K2 - One extreme to the other and quite like something with a knee block but also close contact.
I have my amerigo dressage on order and providing im happy with the fit id liek to order a jump saddle quite quickly as ive been told they are going up in price v shortly!
Thanks

I have an Amerigo Pinnerola (sp?) and i love it!! Would say though they have very little knee rolls, mine is basically flat, with one small block above the knee, and one small block behind the calf and that is it.

They are nice but hard!!! Rode an absolute monster to hack out in one, and found them secure but not with big blocks etc, but just notthe most comfortable! Excellent "jump" saddles though. I would get one, but only if I had something else to hack out in

Agree about the hacking out, they are rock hard!! Good to be cantering and jumping out of the saddle but no good hacking.....i have had to put a seat saver on mine for hacking ;-)

How would the knee rolls compare to the Chiberta ?
I try to avoid hacking at all costs !
After the problems that ive had my main concern is the fit and I think amerigo might have the right tree to my boy.

I currently have a Brown/tan Amerigo 17M +1 and a half, Pinerolo double flap jump saddle for sale if you are interested which I haven't got round to putting on Ebay yet!
It comes with a saddle cover, was bought brand new and has only been used a handful of times. Is only for sale as horse has been sold. Excellent condition

I've got the Amerigo vega single flap jump saddle - brill, love it to bits, mind you its very close contact compared to the likes of albion close contact ultima etc...Thoroughly recommend. I was also told recently by a very reputable saddler that the vega jump saddles often fit better than the pinerolo jump saddles due to the shape of the tree. Food for thought! Good luck!

I have an Amerigo Vega Double flap and its the most comfortable, lovely jumping saddle ive ever jumped in/ridden in (bar a devoucoux or a butet *in my dreams*!!) Would highly recommend it

Well its a certain tree that I need - the one for long sloaping (sp) withers - my saddler is on holiday at the mo so cant find out which one of the jump saddles have this tree. I am buying the cortina dressage saddle - so its the jump with the same tree as that which I need.
I loved the devoucoux chiberta that I had, unfort horse didnt !So if they do one similar to that Id be happy. - I love close contact.
Jones - My a*se is to big unfort for a 17" - need an 18" ! Off to eat some dust hoping that I might be able to lose enough weight to save some ££££

I love my single flap Vega I have a 15'2 ISH type. HEs only 4 and I find it is great for all situations !! I ride my mums horse from time to time she has a Devoucoux Chiberta the pommel is a little higher. The vega seat is slightly flatter which I prefer. my only slight compaints are that the are not as easy to use ie stirrup bars and excess stirrup leather holder lets it down ( have had brain dead moment and can't remember the name ) but all in all I love it and they are similar !! I hope this is of some help ?

I rode a friends horse in an Amerigo Pinerolo and personally found it uncomfortable and really hard on the posterior -although my friend loved it and raved about it! I subsequently bought an equipe jumping saddle for my horse and found it to be just about the most lovely saddle I've sat on (doesnt fit horse anymore

). Think its probably just personal taste when it comes down to it.
