Was looking for another pair of caged, lightweight endurance stirrups and came across these.

Wondering if anyone has bought and/or used them??

I visited the "Amidale" website........ and couldn't help noticing that the standard of English used on it wasn't exactly good! i.e. the syntax and sentence construction was poor. Then noticed that the company is registered in the Punjab. Nothing wrong with that, am not saying it is, but one hears horror stories of saddles being sold on e-bay being not just poorly constructed but downright dangerous as well - and so my suspicions are a bit raised. IMO if a product is worth selling, then it is worth employing someone with a good enough standard of English to put across the right impression on one's website; but that is just my (very probably anal) view.

So am wondering what others think??

Has anyone bought these stirrups, has anyone actually used them? If so, are they worth the money? Are they what they say they are?

Perhaps someone has purchased another equestrian item from this company and would like to share their experience? Good or bad? PM me if prefer but it might help others if on here out in the open.

Responses/feedback invited.

TIA

a mate of mine got some and the paint chipped off very quickly (I wanted orange ones, yes-I know ;) ).Not sure about strength of them/warping etc.
I have the performance equine ones-love them (they are not orange though *sigh*)

I think I have some !
They were a gift but they are exactly the same as the ones you are looking at.
I have the light blue ones. They are heavier than I expected and did not think I would like them but actually I am quite pleased with them. I only been using them the last 4 weeks but I can't see any problems with them.
They feel quite sturdy to me.

I've used the Ezi Ride plastic ones for endurance. They have done thousands of km's over 10 years of endurance and still going strong - they are so comfortable now that I'm retired, I still use them hacking.

I don't have the endurance style, but I bought a pair of their lightweight aluminium ones a few months ago & they are still in fab condition.

You could buy a stirrup iron (aluminium) from anywhere and it would only be as good as the casting process. I would give these a try for two reasons. Often the underdog tries harder to get the product right , also I have a strong affinity with the ethos of Indian business . They are pretty good at trying to get the product right.

Mmmm....... some interesting observations here!! Yes you are right, they may indeed be worth a punt!!

I've just reloaded this thread as I'm looking for stirrups to use on my GP saddle for long distance pleasure rides of approx 4 hours/20 miles throughout the spring and summer months and have come across these on EBay.
The above postings are from 2012 so three years on, has anyone any more up to date thoughts before I chance it and order?
I tried caged stirrups donkeys years ago (forget the make) and just never got on with them so wouldn't actually use the cage attachment on these. I know there are others on the market but tbh don't want to spend a fortune since LDR isn't my first discipline with this horse.
Here's the link - the top Amidale ones:

Sorry, got that wrong, wasn't a thread from three years ago at all, it was from approx a year ago. However, any further information on these stirrups would be gratefully received.

Hello
Just reviving this thread again! I have seen these stirrups on ebay too and I'm also wondering how others have come on with them.
Thanks :-)

I have heard a few bad reviews of them, I use podium stirrups which are sturdier but more expensive but I do spend hours in them on endurance rides!

I have a pair. Used them for over a year with no issues. I have gone back to normal irons now, but simply because my lower leg felt very unsteady in the ligtweight ones rather than anything to do with the stirrup

From my poor memory it was safety issues, ties going through the cages as they are flexible and one broke I think.

I had a pair of Amidale Jinn style stirrups as I wanted to try the design out without the cost - quality wise the paint has chipped a little and they're still going strong after a years use so no major concerns for the price.

However, the safety concerned side of me does worry about the strength of them and I am supposed to be saving for a real pair of Jinns.

thanks, going on that I think I'll save the money and put it towards a better make. maybe they would be fine but I don't want to risk it (and risk wasting the money put into them)
