The horse flies are so bad where I am I can't school or hack out - not great when trying to get a horse fit!! Has anyone tried an amigo fly rider for this?

Horse is a 17hh irish TB. :)

I bought one for my sweet itchy boy, liked it so much I bought another for my mare.

They are lovely, really easy to take on and take off, and are not fiddly, really nice and simple to use and do the job adequately.

Mine is navy: horses look like jousting horses when we take to the roads though!! LOL

But yes, highly recommend.

I just wish they'd do them in hi viz.......

yes ours look like jousting horses in them. They are the difference between making life bearable with all the flies or even not being able to ride sometimes they are so bad. I love ours.

thankyou :) I can keep normal flies away but horse flies no chance. I couldn't school for longer than 5 minutes at the weekend it was awful.

I've got them, they are good. But I've also made my own riding fly swat!

I've cut the fringe bits off a fly fringe and have attached them to the end of a jumping whip. With a bit of training, the horses know that I'm not going to use the whip other than to swish flys away from their ears and under carriage.

It works really well when you get a nasty horse fly that the can't get off with their mouth or tail....

Hi! I have just ordered 1 from country and stable if you use the discount code you get 15% off making mine £42.50, glad they are getting good reviews and hoping mine will be here tomorrow. Hanson, your wip idea sounds great, i actually saw 1 that you could buy like that- approx £8 but can't remember where i saw it!
