I bought my last TB who wasn’t particularly chunky a Amigo vamoose sheet, it was the one with a black swirly pattern. The fit was awful, it pulled back and was very tight on his shoulders, even with the wither in the perfect place the shoulders were all wrong, i sold it but at the time noticed lots of the same adverts “nearly new doesn’t fit properly”
Is this normal for Amigo fly sheets in general or just that particular one?
Have my eye on the one on offer at Hope Valley Saddlery but don’t want to make the same mistake!

I’ve got the bug buster vamoose for both of mine, both warm bloods one very wide chested and they seem to fit ok. They are fairly snug but I’ve not had any rubbing issues. However I think they used to have the swirly pattern on them at one time so they may be the same you had before. I recently bought a 6ft 6in one from Hope Valley in the sale for the bigger horse as he was in a hand me down 6ft 3in. I’ve also got the 3 in one vamoose with the disc fastening and I find that too narrow and the fastening comes up too high so it digs in the neck. I wouldn’t buy a disc fastening again.

I've used the Amigo Mio fly rug on all types of horses - TB, IDx, Welsh D and it fits them all. The only problem I've found with this particular rug is that it's a bit tender and seems to rip quite easily. Having said that, it's also very easy to repair the holes!!!!!

I asked a similar question the other day as I also wanted to buy the one from Hope Valley. My horse is inbetween sizes and I wasnt sure whether to go up a size. I decided to go for the smaller size and it arrived yesterday. Id say they are definately true to size, it fits snugly and I wish Id got the bigger one now. My horse is ID x TB, more TB though and my concern is the bigger size may be too roomy at the chest in the larger size. Shes 6, still looking immature, so I may chance the bigger one and save it for next year.
