I love Amigo rugs generally and have one of the lightweight ones.

Pink thought it was horribly embarassing!

Lovely rug - very water proof and VERY VERY light (in terms of Kg weight). So light in fact that it dosn't really flatten the hair down and make them cold.

Only issue I had was the neck - all my horses are deep chest and wide with a fairly low attatched neck. The top chest strap dug into their necks when they put their head down so I had to take it off and replace it below the bottom one (yey for sewing machines!). Until then I used a chest extender.

I have a MW one and its fab, doesnt slip or owt.... plus my lad does seem to have a widish chest and other rugs are not so generous and rub a little, but not the Amigo.

I'd like to get a HW one but am tempted by the Premier Equine ones....

I have a Weetherbeeta Landa LW which fits great, except across the chest.... just slightly tight on his shoulders, so am using a bossy bib.

I like mine both my horses have had them. Thay are very cheap and do the job, great for warm wet weather.
But would have to agree with PiebaldSparkle on this point made. (only in heavy heavy rain)

Cor...and mine is a chunky pony...guess the 5'9" is a goodun....Only thing I find with them is the neckcovers for 5'9" are too small for my short ut thicknecked girl so usu take them to the saddlers for aq bit of extra elastic to be added.
