I bought one of the new medium weight two tone outdoor rugs and its really weird! Basically the 2 sides don't match so it looks like its slipped to one side, but it hasn't! At first I thought it WAS slipping and kept going to straighten it, but when you get there you realise the bum is still centred and the neck is straight but one side is a mini skirt and the other is normal. Have I just got a dud? Trouble is its now all muddy so don't suppose I can take it back?

I bought one for my mare, brilliant rug, nothing wrong with it, yours must be a dud. Take it back they have to change it if its faulty even if its muddy.

Oh poop :( what a pain. I don't seem to be lucky with Amigos, the lightweight I bought absorbs water like a sponge. Oh well 3rd time lucky :)

If the rug is faulty you can take it back, but clean it first no retailer will except a dirty rug back so clean it a bit.
I would off taken the lite weight back as soon as you brought it.
What you doing to them? Brill rugs normally

If you mean the one i have (pic below) then i think you could have a dud one. I'd take it back regardless if dirty cos if is wonky it wont be resold. just say you didn't realise at first. the one i have is fine. really nice rug and cheap which is a bonus as my boy is nearly 2 yr and 5 months and keeps growing out of rugs!! this one in pic is a 6'6!!!!

Think colourwise you have a dud one my one is equal colour wise, but really short compared to my other m/w amigo rug, looks like my boy is wearing a mini skirt!
Anyone else found this problem?

I work in a tack shop. In the interest of health and safety, please at least give the rug a scrubb before you take it back.

If you lay the rug on the floor and can genuinely see that there is a difference in material length from one side to the other, then it should be easy for the shop to do an exchange, (though it is down to the shop to be 100% sure of this, so they will then get credited by Horsewear). If there is nothing to be seen, then there is possibly something else wrong with the rug, ie the material isnt sat right (too hard to explain, and cant think of the words!). If this is the case then the rug will need to go back to Horsewear for investigation, if this is then found to be faulty a replacement or refund can be given. If they cannot find anything wrong then the rug will get posted back to you.

Unfortunately, unless it is blindingly obviously wrong then it is hard to tell what is wrong when it isnt on a horse.

Horsewear are normally quick to give a response to problem, but you must go back to the original place of purchase with a cleanish rug, so they can examine it first.

I have one I like as well.

I did once get a Premier Equine dud and the weather was so appalling that my mare wore it out for 12 hours of gale and hail before I realised it. I sent a photo to PE and offered to send it back, but they apologised and sent me a new one. Donated the dud to a friend's rescue mare who was in a better than nothing need!

Thanks, I'll give it a good hose down before I take it back. The fault is obvious, the rug is made in 3 panels, the central blue part is quilted whereas the 2 red side panels are not. One of the red side panels slants upwards starting normally at the neck and ends up about 6 inch less deep at the rump. Basically its a fault in the cutting
