Those who use the Amigo Mio rug how do you find the fit on a chunky pony ? Am finding my Bucas ones come up a little tight and drop v low on the chest, are the Mio better ? Also with neck or without as notice only £10-£15 more to have Mio with neck, any advice welcomed.

I love these rugs! And use them on my ID! She is inbetween as 6'3 & 6'6 and got her 6'6 in amigo rugs and fit perfectly

The trouble with Amigo Mio is there is no adjustability at all in the front fastenings - so they are fine if your horse is average, but no scope to adjust if they aren't. Also the Mios are only 600 denier fabric which is not as durable and waterproof as 1200 denier. Worth having a look at the Maxima Equestrian turnout rugs - they are a similar price range to the Mio but made from 1200 denier fabric, and have got very adjustable front fastenings which make it easier to get a good fit.

I don't know what's happened to Amigo rugs. I used to swear by them. They were super durable and seemed to fit anything!!

Nowadays though they seem cheaply made and I find the fit odd.

I am a converted Masta fan. Their Fieldmasta range is fabulous.

My chunky lad got a Mio as a present for me looking after his fieldmate and I love it. He's 15.2 and takes somewhere between a 6'3" and a 6.6" so I usually err on the large side. However, he's not that wide in the chest - the XL range hangs off his shoulders.

I have 2 of the mio and both just slip round and end up wonky on both of my Arabs neither of mine are particularly narrow either. and none of my other rugs slip and I have a variety, shires derby house and weatherbeeta mainly.
