Amigo rug new type front disc fastener

I have a fly rug with the disc closure. I'm not a fan. I don't like where it sits and it seems to dig in. It's also not that adjustable. The whole fly rug was a disaster. over £100 and shredded within a few uses. Just not durable.

amigo fly rug? I am not an amigo fly rug fan. Mine shredded in past. Prefer Rambo Horsewear sweetitch rugs (old white with green edging style)

My rugs with the Disc closure are Amigo bravo 12 no fill turnouts and sit well on my horses.

If you don't like any fittings on any rug, try asking your local Saddler to alter it for you, that's what we are here for.
Some of the manufacturers haven't got a clue about designing and making saddlery including rugs.
I used to do a lot of alterations and repairs to rugs on site at yards, one of my bread and butter jobs and regular work.

Yes, I am in the area you used to be in. Ted at Woldingham saddles is a great old fashioned leatherwork and rug repairer and adjuster! Assume you know him!

Yes, I know Ted, we used to meet at the annual heavy horse show over in Shoreham (back of Seveonoaks) I started up just before he did and sent him customers when I didn't have what they wanted in stock, think he's retiring soon?
He's old school, same as I am, although he doesn't stock press studs!
People used to come to me to have those fitted.

He's irreplaceable and not "allowed" to retire. Don't know anyone who does similar repair work!

i bought a new amigo 12 plus lightweight and he opened it during rolling or by himself, could also have been another horse as he is a social one. Definitely not fair on us owners to switch to such a flawed system, its hard to find the better old system rugs(V-System). I trusted horseware that this Disc system would be safe. I had to now order a Rhino with V front system, and will try to get the Amigo Disc altered by a saddler. What a dissapointment, definitely not worth a penny :(

Surprised. I bought 2. My horse is in group turnout. Never come open. I like the attachments.
