Amigo rug sizing advice

Well the 5yr old rug wrecker has been at it again so looking for some cheaper turnouts this time. How do the Amigo rugs size up? He is either a 6ft 9 or a 7ft, but the main problem we have is with some of the cheaper rugs they are not deep enough and end up halfway up his sides. Advice gratefully received...

Ive found you need to go up a size with Horseware rugs - my boy is a standard 6'0 with any other make but a 6'3 in Horseware rugs. I have a Rhino and 2 Amigo rugs that I had to exchange first time round!

Amigo rugs are the only ones I've found that fit my arab without rubbing his shoulders! For him, they are true to size. I started off with 5'9s, but found that having a 6' covered him just that little bit better. With the front leg arch, they tuck under the belly really nicely as well!

I have generally found them quite true to size, the only advice I could offer is that the 600 denier Amigos are absolute rubbish for a rug wrecker!

I have a youngster that can shred one of those in an afternoon so she now has either PE ones or the 1200 denier Amigos. Both good thick material and so far she hasnt managed to trash either!

with amigo go one size up. was advised this by ride away catalouge and so far has meant perfect rug fit every time.

I've found the Amigo rugs true to size. I only have Horseware rugs though (Amigo, Rambo and Rhino) so I don't know how they compare to other makes.

Thanks! Will go for a 7ft then and also check the denier. He trashed a weatherbeeta at the beginning of the week and came in on Friday with an off the shoulder redesign of a brand new masta (ungrateful spoilt brat!!!)

Also take into what make your horse is . Horseware rugs are great for TB shapes ( altho I have an American Quarter Horse in one but its a bit gappy at the neck )All mine are in Horseware rugs and Ive found them all to be true sizes . Weatherbeeta rugs are medium fit , medium shaped horses , Shires offer more room across the chest , Masta and Kingshead are VERY generous across the chest .

I find if anything they come up a little short. pretty similar to masta but a little shorter than weatherbeeta or mark todd if that helps at all. I find rambo's come up even shorter than amigo's for some reason!
