yes I have done. They do attach however the velcro tabs don't line up very well. If you did it full time it would be worth repositioning the velcro on the PE liner to match the Amigo metal slots. Then it would work very well.
I only used it in an emergency and put the PE tabs on the top slots of the amigo. Looked a bit odd but it stayed put and the horse came to no harm.
