Further to my post about rugs - I have found the horseware Amingo medium weight combo for £70. Does anyone have one? Are they any good? Do they come up small like most horseware rugs?

Thank you folks.

After reading your last post... i reckon they are bit tight round the shoulders, my horse's is narrow ish and have amigo light weight which just about fit snuggly.... he's between 6'6 and 6'9, the rug is 6'9. it's a nice rug but wouldn't buy another amigo, i stick with rambos and rhinos. I have included my pic.

I do have one - and yes it is slightly 'small', normally buy 6'3" but 6'6" is perfect. They are super rugs, well fitting and they stay in place. Top for me is the fact that they dry very quickly without having to use a rug dryer!! Very good value for money in my opinion.

I have a 6'9" lightweight for Spring and it is excellent. Would definitely buy amigos again. She is a big shoulder horse and it never rubbed or slipped on her and kept her totally dry in torrential rain. Its also deep anough to accommodate her voluptuous figure!
Here she is in all her pink glory!!

I have the amigo stable rugs which I have been very very pleased with. I dont know what to do now! Arghhh some people say they are not good for deep chested horses others say they are fine.

Well if it's any help - Amy is a little cob, and Fred was a very well put together TB with a chest like a barrel. The rugs fitted them both very well.

Both mine go out in Amigos, either lights or mediums and the ID has the Insulator stable rug which is basically the indoor version. They seem to accomadate both big shoulders and dep chests pretty well but I would go up a size if you arent sure.

I think I will go for 6'9 - I have the 6'6' insulator stables and they fit ok but not much extra room.

Thank you everyone

I've got one on trial for one of the mags and hated it to start with (leaked like hell the first day is was worn in a sudden downpour) BUT since then it hasn't leaked?? Wierd!

My lad takes a 6ft6 in all makes and this fits him brilliantly - normally have probs with big shoulders.

Now it's stopped leaking I would def have another but I wish they made a thicker one! Wuss boy is clipped out and out in a 350g full neck now but OH's mare with a blanket clip wears the Amigo on colder days and it fits her well too (she is lighter framed than my lad)

My welsh mare has very broad shoulders and her amigo turnout is wonderful, doesnt rub or slip and she can have a good gallop easily with no restriction.
(LOL it isnt clean and new anymore!!)
