Has anybody got a youngster by amour g, coloured stallion? Seriously considering using him next year and wondered what some of his offspring are like?
Also, are they coloured?!

Love him and I don't usually 'do' coloureds. But he is beautiful and his youngsters tend to be very nice .. his owner is on here.

Super stallion. Very very trainable and impressive and would be just as impressive if he were solid and so the colouring is a bonus. He has had some super foals thus far and there are loads of them on his FB page I believe. Personally if I were using him I would use him on a blood mare as feel that his own sire works best on blood mares - Amour G himself being a perfect example as his dam was exactly that - as a lot of his sire's progeny I have seen out of heavier mares have been more ordinary whereas his foals out of more blood mares have been like Amour G himself. Amour is a perfect example of the best possible crossing with his sire and I would want to capitalise on this and either use a mare who is close to himself or more blood in order to keep these qualities. That said though it does depend on what you want to breed as if you were looking to cross onto a heavier mare to get a similar foal to herself then it wouldn't be an issue at all. I just wouldn't stamp him as a refiner.

AWESOME horse though and the temperament to match.....he is one of those that if it were possible to buy clones of another horse I would be queueing up to have him. Colour wise he is heterozygous meaning that he has a 50:50 chance of throwing colour.

What is your mare and what are you hoping to breed?

Really lovely stallion with a fab temperament. I would totally agree that he is really good with blood mare although I have seen offspring from a really heavy type and it produced a cracking big foal with three good paces.
As for colour he does not always produce colour but he does produce strong off spewing with a good top line

Thank you for your interest atouchwild. Obviously I'm going to be a little biased as he is my horse but hopefully the comments above and those here, on a previous thread, will give you independent views!

We are thrilled with his progress both as a competition horse and as a sire. There are many photos on our website and on his Facebook page. Also many videos on Youtube including from this year's BD National Champs where Mr President was retired in the next door arena and throughout the cheering and whooping Amour G hardly twitched an ear proving that level temperament and rideability.
