any experiences? After being fairly disgusted with Petplan last week I am looking to change-like the fact that AmTrust have pony policies and I can vary VF cover although am on verge of not insuring anymore.

The company themselves are very reasonable but I am leaving them due to their direct debit collectors, Close Premium Finance. Robbing so and so's!

Same here, paid out quickly for my ponies suspensory injury and other people on my yard have been the same

Have used them for one of my horses for several years. Have claimed twice, one claim was over a thousand pounds, absolutely no problems.

Don't quote me on this, but when I phoned up to get a quote etc, just before I put down the phone there was a mention that of your 5k only 1500 can be spent on diagnostics. I see there reason for doing it, but felt on some orthopedic cases very unrealistic, so went elsewhere.
OP out of interest what was your problem with petplan. About to put in a claim and getting worried now.

Had mine insured with amtrust for quite few years, never claimed but allways had good service from them. In fact just insured new one yesterday with them. And when old horse goes tonew home Sunday they will do refund of what is left on hers...
