amusing hack kids do the funniest things

me and my friend went on a hack last night in our hi vis gear and as we were walking up the path we noticed a group of kids about to head down a banking,they spotted us and immediately stopped and walked towards a bench and sat down very quietly.as we walked past they were all sat not moving or saying a word (very unusual as we usually get hounded by kids wanting to stroke the horses).eventually one of them piped up are you the police!!!wish we had that effect on everyone we encountered!!!

I wish that I could have that effect sometimes, on drivers especially. My own high viz is an ex-Police (police labels removed) lightweight tabard with long sleeves. So, as well as a LOT of yellow, its covered with reflective strip as well. Considering that I also tend to wear dark coloured breeches and a Troxel hat, it would be lovely if I could prove that being mistaken for a policewoman would have a positive effect on the behaviour of the traffic!

(Although have YOU ever seen an Arab police horse? :-)
 
This happens to me alot - I have one of those hi vis jackets and my riding hat also looks slightly policieee!! Horse is big too so yeh it is funny when it happens. One dog walker even said to me I didnt realise the mounted police went out on their own!! i did chuckle!!!

LOL yea happend to me a few times, lady came up to me on a Sunday morning and said "it's nice to see you about"

another time a kid threw his plastic pop bottle in the road, then saw me comeing along, I never said a thing, but he went and picked it up

, I also get asked by kids up to no good if I am security at the castle, I gruffly say yes
