Well thanks to several H& H onliners who won tickets and couldnt use them myself and 5 mates had a free evening out at Oldencraig to watch Leslie Law and one of the shearwater riders show us how it was done...An interesting evening but one that floundered a bit when Leslie was solo I thought but others on here may disagree..his chosen rider was excellent and the first part of the demo was great for showing how working them through excercises can settle them etc but I was sadly disappointed not to see more of Leslie working with the horses and the second half was im afraid a tad dull...the final bit was just a self appreciation half hour of Leslie and his sponsors but hey it was fun nevertheless and Shear was looking fantastic as usual despite his age!!!...so thanks again to Toby_Z, Brackenhappy and Buddly who made the evening possible for us..

I have to agree with you. Some very interesting parts at the beginning with Sam Jennings and her younger horses. At the interval my friend and I were both saying we had picked up some useful tips that we could take home and put into practise. The second half though as you say i found a little bit long. Sam working her Advanced horse on the flat was ok but i found Leslie didnt really say alot and when he was asked questions he was a a tad long winded in his response. I wouldnt have liked to have paid £30 for a ticket (we got them free from a friend) but a worth while fun evening out. And the ending was very sweet with Leslie and H2O having a play around!
