I agree and I have become fed up with the recent RSPCA posts where the poster has gone out of their way to highlight newspaper articles, which cannot be relied upon to be unbiased, to suit their own viewpoint. I blame the judge in the HH case who should never have made the remarks about the cost of the case as it has just stirred up the pro and anti-hunt brigade to dig out any story they can find to justify their stance. I guess as there have been many negative posts about the RSPCA recently, the pro-hunt supporters are trying very hard to discredit them. The majority of us thankfully take most of what the papers say with a pinch of salt, and thus the posters who express a strong opinion based on biased reporting.

The telegraph appear to be trying to put a slant on the fact that the RSPCA are not being investigated further by suggesting that they have 'had a slap on the wrist' about it instead.

In actual fact, if you read the comments made by the Charity Commision (if they are correct, who knows) then that is just a basic generic thing to say, it merely highlights what the RSPCA or any body should be doing when considering a prosecution. It doesn't for one minute suggest that they were saying the RSPCA were wrong to take the prosecution. And in fact, it appears that they don't feel they were wrong in spending that amount, as they are not investigating any further into the matter.

Lots of views of this thread, but only 3 responses.

Surprised at that, I would have thought given the uproar and hoo haa created on here to actually bring about the meeting between the Charity Commision and the RSPCA, that this would have been of great interest.
