Sadly I missed her ?
OH saw a car sat in the yard gateway so went to investigate. It was two ladies, one of whom owned our newish horse previously!
They had come to have a little look over the fence at him!
I didn’t buy off them but off the guy they sold him too. OH spoke to them for quite a while and is utterly convinced he recognised them and was pleased to see them because he was “all exited and chatty, then kicked his door” ??‍♀️
No idea, he was a bit lit up when I got him in before leaving for work though.
He gave an email address and she is going to send old photos of him as a foal and youngster!
Really thrilled! Can’t wait. I’ve been so lucky with old owners I stay in touch with the guy a bought him off, aswell my now retired horses old owner is now a friend and visits him fairly regularly. I love that.
Will be checking my emails every 10 seconds now ?

I love that. It’s so nice that previous owners cared enough about him.
I’m in touch with the breeders of one of my old horses which was lovely. Sadly he didn’t make old bones but the breeder was happy to see that he was loved and cared for even when I couldn’t ride him.

How lovely! I found my horses owner from 16 years ago by chance last year. They travelled half way down the country to see him and it was clear he recognised them. I’m also in contact with the other owner and I just found it lovely that he’s been so loved ?. A friend commented that for a cob he’s been lucky to have only had 3 homes since he was a baby and that we all love him dearly.

That is very lovely. Hope you hear from her soon!

I’m still in contact with Peggy Sue’s owner nearly 18 years later. Get a letter every Christmas with how she and her family are getting on. She brought her over from Germany but as she was supposed to have navicular, when the wife went back to Germany she didn’t think it was fair to travel her back over. I volunteered at the trekking centre she had so I got the first offer to take her and thank goodness I did! ?❤️

Just so lovely to see and know about him. It makes me wish even more that I could have baby pics of my other guys ?
