i mentioned this in passing yesterday but did anyone else noice that Juan Carlos Garcia has been on a medal winning side in both eventing and showjumping...... within a month! Now that must be some sort of record and well done to him. In the midst of all this british euphoria i think that deserves a mention.
as for Tina, everything has been said and she knows I have been a Henry fan since i saw him doing a BYEH qualifier at Knaptoft. Just class.

There were indeed some fabulous perfomances not least Minors Frolic who probably looked class the day he was born and Some Day Soon who showed his Bramham form was plenty good enough and that he was selected on merit, not just to give Piggy mileage. Michael Jung's horse is a force to be reckoned with and will win more big competitions. Roberto Rotatori has also done some work since Badminton and dear old Stand by Me went as well as he has for a long time.

I see you still havent put me on UI Old Vic.......

Also a good weekend for the Spanish Endurance team in the European Endurance Champs in Italy. Spanish got the team and individual gold.

Juan Carlos is certainly a high class rider. While by no means the only one to excel in both disciplines (various Europeans & of course Mark Todd), it must indeed be rare to earn medals in both within weeks.
