(That's meant to say A new arrival)
Had a fab day today - winter sunshine included! Our new horse arrived and he's simply gorgeous and I am love with him already! His stable name is Misfit, he's 5, TB, and full brother to my grey Alfie who is 7. Their mum was Storming Lady, dad was Cloudings and his dad was Saddler's Wells, so in theory should be talented boys although we have yet to find the racehorse factor in Alfie :p Sorry for the pic overload (believe me I edited loads out), but I've been hanging off him all day just wanting to devour him, can't stop looking at him! He has this gorgeous kissable pink bottom lip which looks like he's sticking his tongue out at you, and the two white dots on his nose have been there since birth :)

With Alfie his bro:

Took him to meet the shetland and the pigs - thought he'd freak but he was so cool:

Can you tell I'm SO excited??!
Thanks for looking guys :D

Both your horses are gorgeous - just the sort of thing I hope to get for my daughter next spring. She is desperate for a nice jumping horse now that her competition pony has gone

Thanks everyone for your lovely replies.

I'm not sure how long we'll have him (either of them in fact). My horse is off under physio at the mo and we have 7 on the yard but only two ridden (oldies and temporarily broken ones) so we asked my dad who trains if he had anything we could 'borrow' and went to have a go on a few, and chose Misfit. Then it turns out that he actually belongs to my mum as she owned Misfit's mum who bred Alfie whilst living with us but then went back to dad's, and we actually didn't know she had had Misfit (are you still with me?)! Truth is i think dad was keeping it quiet!

We took on Alfie (who also belongs to mum but had been racing at dad's) in June just to play with over the summer but he's so fab we want to keep him, and if Misfit is anything like him we won't want him to go, but of course dad may have other plans for him! I'll leave it to mum and dad to fight it out when the time comes. In the meantime we are going to concentrate on his flatwork then move onto his jumping. We'd like to hunt him too. I say 'we' loosely as I'm too old, arthritic and nervy now to do these things, I leave it up to my lovely groom who relishes it!

Hopefully I'll be able to post pics as he progresses..
