. It's called a Global: it's like a pared down version of a Pelham. Had it in for younger daughter when out and about; only one rein, but she was just learning and couldn't cope with two reins

. It was recommended by the bit bank people (can't remember their name....). Seems to work. He opens his mouth on downwards transitions no matter what bit he has in (back checked, saddle checked, teeth done

. No matter what other things, in my kiddlettes I am very, very lucky; and in my ponios, so far, not so bad

(the odd buck, dropped shoulder, bog-off, backwards run, saddle scrape, rockery climb, rocking horse impersonation notwithstanding lol).
