Ok this sounds a bit strange but does anyone else have a horse that squeaks really high pitched when they get over excited. Pickle when he gets excited hacking or jumping just squeaks it is so loud and really high pitched!

sounds so strange coming out of a big chunky 17.1hh cyclesdale x.

So does anyone else have a squeaky horse?

Pickle scared some walkers the other day they jumped out of their skins when he came right next to them and squeaked so loudly

LOL, and in jumping rounds when it is very quiet he has a habit of squeaking!

Our old advanced eventer used to squeak during canter work, jumping, hacking etc. It was hilarious in dressage tests, when he used to squeak going into canter and flying changing. The bigger the jump the louder he used to squeal too. Hacking he used to squeak as cars came by and strike out with a front leg. He was a character, bless him

my big dun I have on loan is called Ja Ja Binks by my friends because of the high pitch noises he makes (they tell me its nothing to do with his looks!!)

yep my palomino does it...even out on hacks he squeals with excitment....it was quite embarrasing as a game of cricket was happening when he did it last time and everyone turned around and stared in rage as it was putting the batter off play!!

My boyfriend's horse Marco squeals when he is excited - mainly when jumping xc! And he is another 17hh solid lump so must look quite funny when he's doing it. Bless him

Yup my TB mare squeels in excitement - it makes me (and others) laugh when she does it, especially when show jumping. It's a sort of long drawn out 'EeeeEEEeeeeEEEeee' as we go round. She also does it in a 'answering back' kind of way too (when I've asked her to do something she doesn't want to do). All part of her redhead character!

We've just moved yards and Flash is almost losing his voice he's been squealing so much! It's so funny when I'm riding him and he's making these ridiculous sounds!

I have a squeaking Welsh Cob (he does it when he's excited) and a very lightweight and pretty AA young mare who moans and grumbles to herself like a rheumatic old lady all the way round a dressage test.

My TB used to squeal any chance he got. Even just the site of someone on the yard was enough to set him off. Also one of the SJ's we had in for a while squealed every time it landed over a jump - conbinations always ave us a laugh!

PMSL - I can see it now "Oh tell you what let's have a giggle and do gridwork with the squeaker - see if we can get him up to 10!" "Hey - tell you what - if we vary the distances we could record an interesting soundtrack!"
