It's been an interesting week. Three days in hospital. ad some very ill points, blah. But, feel heaps better today
grin.gif
. Have acually been to the yard today and seen the Dizzy one. She was pleased to see me, or at least pleased to see my packet of Polos lol.

I've been warned that I'll have good days and not so good days, it's not the kind of thing that just gets better each day. Can be a little frustrating!

Nothing hurts
grin.gif
. I just tend to feel sick most of the time, which is very boring really. Can't have anything for that now I'm out of hospital because a new bleed would probably be accompanied by being sick. Blah. It's all very unlikely now though
grin.gif
. Everyone is taking excellent care of me
grin.gif
.

Hubby has said he would like it if I gave up, but understands if I don't. I think it was a tad scary for him
frown.gif
He loves me for who I am and understands what makes me who I am. I am lucky.

Not sure current main client is as understading, which considering who they are is ironic lol
cool.gif
. Ah well.

Will hopefully be riding again in two weeks. Only delay will be due to getting a new hat - thanks to Weezy I'm interested in getting a Pro Tector for both me and daughter (have not told hubby how much they cost, I think he's suffered enough already lol).

Hgus and hot choccies with all the trimmings to all

Good to hear you are on the mend. You sound so light-hearted when I am sure you must be feeling terrible. Make sure you get plenty of rest and don't try to get back in the saddle too soon, your health is the most important thing.

As for your client, I have had a fair few who could be unsympathetic but again, you have to do the best thing for you. I'm sure they're just realising how valuable you are now that you're having to take some time out!

Get well soon!!!

Glad you're on the mend. But please don't be too quick to get back on board.......

I won't hun

Have people to lunge and exercise the whizzy one (professional to ride her). Quite happy for her to be effectively turned away if necessary. She's young, won't mature 'till six/seven, and we're in no hurry

Sounds like a Keeper there girl

Glad you are feeling brighter, don't rush to get on and don't be fed up with yourself if you feel a tad nervous when you do.....its normal!

Now get better and lets see some more pics like the before ones today of you and the Dizzy Blond...Preferably walking in a calm dignified manner

Has made me realise a lot of things re. business, and is providing the imputous to crack on with various bits and pieces

it sounds like you have a lovely caring family too so that makes things easier. being ill is crap i had two weeks off with swine flu then fell out of bed and broke my toes and hurt my leg and ankle so have had a [****] time recently - makes you relise whats important in life and what matters the most

Good news Mrs. M - they can't keep a good woman down (so to speak..!!).

A fall as bad as yours must be treated with great care and (I know, blah, blah...) before you get back on board, please make sure that you are 100% ready and not feeling in slightest bit dizzy (ha!).

Ooh do take it slowly and carefully, I just remembered from your description, I got knocked off my motorcycle on the Gants Hill roundabout on the North Circular once, felt like that for a whole 2 weeks (plus had double vision). Problem is it does affect your balance so don't you go getting back on till all the sick feeling has totally gone, just in case.
(ok I know I went straight back to work on my motorcycle the next day but I was a mad 20 year old back then)

Thankies all

I promise to only get back on when I can walk a straight line without deviating, and don't feel like I've been at sea

Off to snuggle up on the sofa and no doubt fall asleep watching Bond.

Sweet dreams all. Try and stay safe and in one piece, and hugs for all who need them!

((HUGS)))
went through a lot of this when my OH broke his back in May. The surgeon said to him "you either give up or get going- its upto you" which sounded a little black and white at first but as time goes by we now understand what he meant. For my OH it has meant selling his much loved 17.2hh and when he is allowed to strat riding next year it will be on the collection of 3 fun, feisty cobs all around 15hh who are just that bit closer to the ground, with steadier temperaments ( but in no way ploddy!) In a way i suppose its middle ground as i wouldnt be happy to see him on a big fit bouncey hunter but he wants to ride again so this way we can all be happy.
FWIW he is self employed to and although the client was understanding, as we all know no work=no pay. Are you insured NFU? we found we were covered whilst he was covered by a Dr sick note.

DDD - hope hubby is doing well, gentle hugs to all!

Hm. Dizzy is insured through NFU... I will have to get hubby to check paperwork! I have told him that I need insurance to cover wonkiness until some of the other things make enough money to tied us over, it costs a forturne though
frown.gif
Having just paid my Professional Indemnity insurance (ouch) the coffers have closed up their skirts and skittled away
smile.gif
.

Just thought. Am also a Gold BHS member, so worth having a look at that policy as well
smile.gif

I'm not used to this being ill lark! Have worked through flu, battered arm, lame leg, you name it, I've worked through it (admittedly sometimes from my pit lol). Is weird not being able to crack on and get done.

Oh Mrs M. poor old you. I have only just caught up with this thread and i am so sorry to hear your news. Glad you are making progress though, but as others have said, try to go slowly and not rush things. You will heal much quicker then. hugs and support from me.

I am chilling nicely. They'll tell me tomorrow if I can drive again. I actually feel quite good, but won't overdo it as I don't want to feel like I did last week again
blush.gif
I only have the one brain, and it would appear that I need it lol
smile.gif

Glad you're feeling a bit better now, I did not realise you were having such a tough recovery!!

When I knocked myself out it took me two weeks to fully recover. I spent most of it on the sofa being fed chocolate, so I heartily recommend that (if the quizziness lets you eat!).

Hope you make a full and speedy recovery. I can appreciate where your hubby is coming from, I am always aware how stressful it is for our loved ones having an OH who has a motorbike who I worry about all the time!

I love the look of the Protector helmets, can I ask if it was that the helmet wasn't strong enough that caused the injury or was it just the way you hit the ground?
