Just a quick update on my situation.
Basically, I have too many horses, and had to 'get rid' of some. I have a 22yr old 13hh pony, the first one that was ever brought specifically for me, who ive had since i was 8. So, hes obviously to small for me, but as I can't bare for him to be sold/sat in a field, I loaned him out. The girl who has him on loan is totally in love with him already, shes jumping him, 'playing' with him, her and her mum love him to pieces. Im just so happy that he has another little girl of his own, and that they are getting on so well [=
Second is my 16.2hh event horse. We were going to sell him, but because hes such a BFG, decided to loan him, again, cant bare to part with him!! He has been with the little boy who has him for nearly 2 weeks, and after the worst viewing of a horse ever (his last loan home did nothing other than hack and gallop, or lunge him in the 11months they had him, dont think they did anything with him in the month prior to his return, so called friends hey!, so he was fine to school, then did some XC with him, and he was off! Luckily I was riding, not the boy!) loves him to! The boy is quite nervous, but hacked him out yesterday, and asked to jump him tonight. He also wants to tack him to a rally on Saturday - so again, another success story!!
Now, with the sad part. My 2 mares are now both old and crippled. So, we have decided for definate, that once they have some grass in their bellies, and sun on their back, they will bs PTS.
That leaves my 4 yr old, who I'm moving yards with on sunday, so he can be closer to home for me to ride etc., and the 2 mini shetlands, who are rescues, so will continue to live in the field, and the owner said he wants to get a few more! Things couldn't have worked out better for me xD If either of the horses on loan need to come back, we still have a field to put them in.
Sorry, really pointless post, just I am so so so happy both my boys are getting on well, and everything seems to be sorting itself out soon!!
