We've had Digby for nearly a week now and he's been a complete dream! He seems to have settled in really quickly. We bought a crate for him to sleep in at night, the first night we had the crate outside our bedroom and he slept all night, the second night we moved it down to the kitchen. He cried/barked initially, and we sat down with him until he settled and then crept back upstairs. Every night since then he's settled more quickly. We had a couple of accidents in the house on the first day, but none since then.

My daxie is besotted with him. She wasn't sure on him first but they're now sharing a bed together, having kisses and cuddles and playing really nicely. I think she's loving having a big brother again which I'm so relieved about.

We took him to the vets a few days after he arrived and he had a once over and is all fine.

He's so good on the lead. After a couple of days he mastered 'wait' when we're about to cross the road, he plonks his bottom down in a puppy like fashion and takes a treat really gently.

Anyway here's some photos of his first few days with us.

That all sounds very positive.
He's been amazing! The rescue think he may have lived in a house before, but perhaps wandered off and his owners didn't try to find him, before he was found as a stray, as he seems really happy in the house and to walk so well on the lead is amazing.

That is so lovely to hear. You hear of so many rescue dogs from abroad that are terrified and take ages to settle (if ever) so to see Digby so settled and happy is just fab. The fact your Daxie loves him too makes it even more special. The photos of the two show how relaxed they are together.
