It is with a feeling of great trepidation after reading a few peoples views on my previous post, that i bring you this update on her condition, She is doing well in the circumstances and they have decided not to put her in a drug induced coma, She is very out of it and i only managed to speak to her for a few minutes, i took the card with me that you all asked to be included on and the lovely Kerilli put together a list of all your names for me, I read the cards to her and put it in her line of sight before i left, Her sister has her phone and i know she is replying to messages from people on behalf of DR, Can i just say Thankyou very very much to all of you on here that have wished her well, It really means alot to know so many of you are thinking of her.

Fingers crossed for a good recovery - although it may be a long one.

I'm not 100% sure on all the details at the moment as have not seen her mum since first going to the hospital yesterday, her bike is totalled obviously and as far as we can tell or work out, we think she hit some ice and slid into the path of an oncoming car, but as i say i haven't heard that as the 'official' reason behind the accident.

Well done LCN

You've been so busy- Online at 2am, doing the horses, writing 170 names on a card and managing to get to the hospital

Is she in ICU still? Surprising they allowed you in but good none the less. I'm sure she really appreciates it.
No news on which hospital I assume. Pretty sure most people can find out due to visiting hours though

QE2's doesn't start for another few mins so that one can be crossed off...

that's good news so far, thanks so very much for the update. i've got a few more names to add on to the next card!
are you going to be okay doing her horse as well as yours? are there any local HHOers who might possibly be able to help out, perhaps? just a thought. it might even be an idea to think about putting him out on loan if pos as she won't be riding/doing him for a long time with those injuries...
sorry, will wind my neck back in, just thinking!

I dont personally know DunRoamin but it is horrendous what a patch of ice can cause.

Having been through the mill when my father had a serious car accident I know just how badly it will affect her mum family and friends. The ripples of angst caused by a serious RTA can only be understood when you have been through it so as well as good luck vibes for Dunroamin my thoughts go out to her mum as well.

No matter how warm a hospital is its a very Cold place to sit and worry.

Buzz is going to be done between myself, the lady that runs the yard and her daughter, which will make things easier thankyou Kerilli, plus i work freelance so often have spare time on my hands, Her sister managed to arrange for me to see her, dont ask how she did it as i dont know. I'm going back to bed now, maybe around later to answer any other questions, Thankyou again for your best wishes.

Wishing her all the very best & I speak from experience that's really good news to not induce the coma. My hubby had a very bad quad bike accident 3 years ago, brain injury, life support machine, etc but he pulled through. It's a terribly scarey situation for the family & friends , luckily not the for the casualty as they are so drugged up they don't know much about it, if anything. Take some comfort from the fact the body is a fighter, it WILL fight to survive. Sending lots of vibes & prayers and will follow the updates.

Dont Know, that's all a bit suggestively nasty, isn't it? If you know DR in real life (and i suspect that you must, to be so doubtful of the veracity of this) then please go and find out whether it is true, to set your mind, and ours, at rest.

IF this is a hoax, i for one am glad... i'd rather look like a gullible prat that know that someone from here is lying in hospital with such horrendous injuries.
if not, hang your head in shame...

A lot of hospitals now give patients facebook access

Very useful of course when you are semi-conscious in ICU and probably can't move either arm very well due to horrific injuries to shoulder/ribs/elbow.

Sorry, things of course don't come across on the internet how you mean them!

The injuries in ICU being my point why she couldn't be using facebook.. unless someone else has access to her account...

yes it's amazing... seen as when my father was in ICU my mother wasnt even allowed to visit before midday...

I recall there are a couple of police officers on this forum and one from that area, perhaps, seen as the police would have attnded such a serious accident then they could verify if an accident took place in that area on that night involving a car and a motorbike?

as I said before,in a strange way I do hope this IS a hoax....
