I posted back in November about my rescue Hope. Since then she has gone from strength to strength and recovered well from her accident in the field the first day! We go for walks around the village and poor pedestrians have learned to avoid us because she makes swift dives across the pavement for a chat! She is now turned out with the 3 other horses and hasn't had any problems, in fact it's bliss, she comes in absolutely shattered each evening from playing all day!
She got lots of presents from my friends and family at Christmas and a little elf even decorated her stable (yes I was a tad excited! ha!) She wasn't sure whether to be scared or to eat it and was NOT impressed by the tinsel on her head collar! She has many visitors and has won the hearts of everyone she has met!
The RSPCA have been in contact twice since the adoption and on both occasions promised to visit that week and have failed to turn up .... I hope this means they think I'm doing a good job! I can't believe how fast she is growing, she was in a dinky 4'3 rug when she came now I'm buying her a new 4'9!!! She has very long legs and is into absolutely everything!
I took her to my mum's yard last week for her to have her feet trimmed, I was sat on the wall and she was in front of me when she started sniffing my hair, this then turned into tug of war with my fringe, the more I laughed the harder she pulled, Mum just stood and laughed at us! Little monkey!
I'm still very much in love with her, although just recently I have had some horrible nightmares which shakes me up so I don't want to leave the yard! She's like "Mum leave me alone!!" I can't wait for the summer, she's malting like mad so I can't wait to see her summer coat! I am very very proud of the little munchkin!
