Thanks for the advise on our little sheepdog pup Bella!

OH came in last night after football and she started on his football boots....he said enough is enough got right down to her level boomed 'leave' and then growled at her  She got in a grump and sat on the stairs and now won't leave him alone....he spent the evening doing sit, lay down, stay etc and even got her to meet the cat without the normal drama. She also came up and started sniffing his boots calmly and realised that they're not terrifying aliens sent to destroy her.

Appears that my 'amature' OH knows a lot more than me....

Difficulty was that she was so shy when we got her (only just over a week ago) we thought she'd need a while to settle before we disciplined her....not so apparently.

So OH now has a shadow....:p;) She's on the wander lead now but I think we may be on the way to cracking it.

Its a common mistake people make when they make allowances for dog behaviour because they are nervous or had a crap life before. What they all need is bounderies so they know their place and this is what will help a dog settle. So glad she has come good.:)

We had to be firm with my new pup as he would of ruled the roast if we let him. I personally think dogs are happier with bounderies and settle better knowing what is good and bad anf lots of socialising at the beinging.

I was quite tough on Archie when I got him at 18 months but she is SO stubborn....unlucky for her she's not as stubborn as OH! :D
