My dog had his anal glands squeezed yesterday by the vet and today when he licks himself it utterly stinks.. Does this mean she never squeezed them properly. (cleared them?!)

What did the vet say after she expressed them? Did she say they were very full? TBH once they're done they should be empty and shouldn't still be leaking/smelling so to me sounds like maybe they weren't completely emptied.
Did you take it in to have them done because the dog was having problems with them?

depends if they over full or not and if they were infected - they can still leak after expression if they are infected as they will become very full again quickly - were you sent home with antibiotics?

He went to have his jabs done and I mentioned even though he was wormed 3 weeks ago he was licking himself excessively. She said they were quite full and squeezed them out.
That was it, no antibiotics nothing. However yesterday when he was (again) licking himself it smelt worse than when she squeezed them!
