Then why castigate others who may be equally deserving of state help? I don't begrudge my taxes going towards supporting anyone who requires help whether that be long term or short term. After all, I or someone that I love may need help some day.
This country is by no means perfect but there is a system in place for those that need it. I do know that there are people who manipulate that system to their own advantage but, I believe, the vast majority do not.
